Times of India reported that Aishwarya will be one of the presenters at the 77th Oscar (2005). I watched and waited. In the end, I realise that I deserve the waste of time for believing the stupid news reporting on the news paper. Thank you Subash K Jha for reminding me why I started this blog!

Sometimes it is good that ToI stays close to its tabliod psyche.

In an editorial, ToI proposes that in a country whose history teaches that "Golden Bird" can turn into nation of "Bengal Famine" due to invasions and occupation, a country whose neighbours are managing nuclear walmart, country whose neighbour has a habit of occupying countries (tibet is a country), we should not consolidate our defense.

In the classic "make-shift" nation spirit, the editorial calls for tansfering money for development project. It is of no worry that one day that project might be destroyed by attack or act of terrorism.

But then, am I expecting too much from ToI?

Asia times is reporting that ToI is back with another innovations. They will publish your ad if you let thme in on some equity. So, let them own a part of your business and they will publish ad. Sounds good.

So, next time you read any "news" ... don't remind youself of the phrase "conflict of interest".

Let us all unabashedly root for Pakistan in the first final of the VB Series against Australia. The mere prospect of Australia once again coming out trumps is nauseating.

According to Saubhagya Mohan Kala (toi link), if Australia keeps winning, Indians should feel nauseating. Instead of working hard at beating them, the team should pray that Pakistan defeats them!

Exposing a long-known trade fact, a leading Mumbai English tabloid, Mid-Day, last week published the "rates" for purchasing editorial features in the Times of India. The Times has not issued a denial, and the rogue rate card seems to be the latest indicator of rotting media ethics and tolerance in India for corruption.
